Talarico

The featured photo is the front page of the hard copy Chron today.  I like it for two reasons. The first is an acknowledgement that State Rep. James Talarico is going to put a focus on African American voters. The second is Talarico going after African American voters needs to be discussed for a greater awareness over the next six months. It will help for sure. Nice move.

I have mentioned before that I don’t think much of former FBI director James Comey. We all know what he did right before the 2016 election. He is a political dumbarse, but he knows better than to make a threat against Donald Trump. Of course, these days, a fella with his standing should have known better than to post a cryptic message with an 86 referencing 47. He should have known that MAGA would have taken that image and make it seem like a threat. Dumbarse.

Boston Red Sox manager Alex Cora was fired this past weekend after a 10-17 record. Cora won a World Series managing the Red Sox in 2018, 8 years ago. Phillies manager Rob Thomson was fired yesterday after going 9-19. Thomson led the Phillies to a World Series in 2022 where they lost to the Astros in 6 games.  I get that Red Sox and Phillies fans don’t like to start a season at 10-17 or 9-19.

The Astros are 11-19 this morning.  Pitching is our problem, not our manager.
