Will Smith issued an apology to Chris Rock yesterday. Smith’s standing, reputation and credibility took a major hit. This will now be part of his legacy. Oh, well.
Commentary stopped watching CNN on a regular basis about four and a half months ago. Back in mid-November I started watching the Christmas flicks on Hallmark and when January came around, I decided I didn’t want to go back to cable news for now. I just got tired of the same old talking point talking heads. Aside from frustration, I wasn’t getting anything from watching. There you have it.
I do watch the early Channel 2 News when I get up and then the “Today” show. Then maybe the local news in the evening.
I did catch up on two flicks yesterday – finally. “Arrival” and “Kong vs Godzilla.” “Arrival” was kind of hard to figure out toward the end.
Did you know that the last MLB pitcher to win 30 or more games in a season was Denny McLain? In 1968, McLain went 31-6 for the Detroit Tigers. Denny McLain is celebrating his 78th birthday today.
