No No-No
Early voting in person starts today for the primary runoffs in Texas and I still have not received my mail ballot. According to the Harrisvotes.com mail ballot tracker, they mailed it to me last month. I guess I will have to call them today to figure out how I will get to vote.

Speaking of the runoffs, a PAC supporting cheating, crooked arse Ken Paxton has purchased a half page Paxton for U.S. Senate ad in today’s Chron hard copy on page A3. I wonder how many Paxton supporters read the Chron.

The story line of the 2026 Astros season. See this from the Chron:
Houston Astros second baseman Jose Altuve has a Grade 2 left oblique strain and will require a stint on the injured list, manager Joe Espada said after Sunday’s loss to the Texas Rangers, another blow to a team wracked by injuries in this season’s first half.
Altuve sustained the injury on a swing during the eighth inning Saturday. He underwent imaging on Sunday morning and was in the Astros’ dugout during their 8-0 loss, which left them at 19-29.
The Astros entered Sunday with 14 players on the IL. They could regain shortstop Jeremy Peña, center fielder Jake Meyers and reliever Nate Pearson during their upcoming series against the Twins but now face a stretch without their second baseman and franchise face.
Sigh. I am just numb to all the injuries this season.

I was at the game Friday evening and trying to pay attention to starting pitcher Spencer Arrighetti’s strikeout numbers. In the sixth inning I noticed he was throwing a no-no. He got through the seventh inning without giving up a hit against the Rangers. See the featured photo. I texted the photo to a few friends. Ranger second baseman Justin Foscue broke it up with a line drive to left field with one out in the eighth. Drats. I thought for a moment I was going to get treated to another Astros no-no. Alas, no no-no.
We start a 10-game roadie in Minneapolis today.
