Big 12 TD

I got caught up in a sudden downpour yesterday while running an errand. Then I ran across a Waymo on 11th and N. Shepherd by the Kroger. See the featured photo. The intersection had rising high water and the driverless vehicle seemed a bit confused on how to navigate, err pardon the pun, the water.  Other cars were having to slowly and carefully drive around the Waymo. I couldn’t stick around to see how it all played out.

The Big 12 scored an easy TD over cheating, crooked Ken Paxton yesterday. See this from the Trib:

Texas Tech University quarterback Brendan Sorsby will not play in the upcoming college football season, a school official said Monday, after the Big 12 Conference sued the university to keep Sorsby off the field amid concerns over improper betting.

Paxton pandered to Red Raiders fans and the Big 12 hit back.  Texas Big 12 member institutions Baylor, TCU and UH never really weighed in but you can bet that they are glad this is now in the rear-view mirror.

Bud Kennedy of the Star Telegram tweeted this:

Brendan Sorsby took one look at the ineptitude of @KenPaxtonTX and decided he’d better move on along. An incredible flop by @TexasTechFB.

Yep. A Big 12 TD for sure.

This is happening today. See this from KPRC Channel 2 News:

Suspended Fort Bend County Judge KP George is expected to learn his punishment Tuesday after a jury found him guilty on two counts of money laundering earlier this year.

George was convicted on March 20 after a trial centered on allegations that he unlawfully moved campaign funds through personal accounts. The charges are third-degree felonies under Texas law.

He now faces a sentence ranging from probation to up to 10 years in prison, along with a possible fine of up to $10,000.

The sentencing hearing comes months after George was suspended from office following his conviction.

What a dumbarese. That is all I have to say about this for now.

All four World Cup games ended in a draw yesterday. The diehard fans of Spain and Uruguay were a tad disappointed.

Astros fans get a special treat this evening. Hunter Brown returns to the mound after going on the injured list in April. Hunter will face former Astro Framber Valdez who is now with the Tigers. Plus, it is Dollar Dog Night. I will be closely monitoring the weather to make sure I don’t have to alter my route if the Milam Street exit is flooded.
