When I learned yesterday that President Joe Biden would be going on live TV to announce the take down of a top al-Qaida operative, I immediately thought of the scumbag coward who had his fingerprints all over 9/11.

I was right. Even though 9/11 was over 20 years ago, like they say, better late than never. He is in hell now.

One of Commentary’s favorite TV personalities, Dylan Dreyer, is 41 today. Dylan is part of the “Today” family. She is a meteorologist who is also co-host of the third hour.

She is a real trooper. She gets Kentucky Derby and other racehorse duties. She is also a golfer who does the celebrity golf tournament. Happy Birthday, dilly, dilly!

Jenna Bush Hager’s third child, Hal, also has a birthday today. He is 3, Happy Birthday, Hal!

Commentary was at The Yard last night. The team does a lousy job of keeping their hand sanitizer dispensers filled up. Tsk, tsk, tsk.

Let me say this about the team. They do want to go deep into the playoffs.  They made three good trades yesterday.

We got Trey Mancini from the Orioles. He plays first base and outfield.  He swings a good bat. We all know Yuli Gurriel has been struggling at the plate this season, so this should help.

We also traded for catcher Christian Vázquez from the Red Sox who happen to be in town. Vázquez just had to walk across the field to put on his new uniform. He was the regular starting catcher for the Red Sox.  It will be interesting to see how the catching duties will be split between Vázquez and Machete.  It can’t hurt though.

Lefty Will Smith is now part of our bullpen. We traded Jake Odorizzi to The ATL for Smith.

You can’t help but think the Red Sox are not thinking playoffs this season. They gave up their starting catcher who also is a good hitter. We will see.
